Frequently asked questions

The details before you commission.

How many commissions do you take?

Two per month, so each piece gets my full attention. Once a month's two slots are taken, a single premium slot (+50%) may open — otherwise you can book the next available month.

How far ahead do I need to book?

I need at least 2 weeks' notice, ideally 4. The calendar shows which months are open and how many slots remain.

What's your cancellation and refund policy?

NZ$100 of your payment is non-refundable if you cancel. If you cancel before I start your piece, the rest is refunded; once I've started, the balance is non-refundable. This doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act. The full commission terms are linked at the bottom of every page.

What do I get, and who owns the artwork?

A one-of-a-kind hand-drawn ink piece, printed A3 on fine-art paper, unframed, and posted to you. Delivery is free anywhere in New Zealand; anywhere else in the world it's a flat NZ$45 toward postage, added at checkout. I retain copyright; the print is yours for personal display, not resale. Other sizes and commercial use can be arranged — just ask before you book.

I'm overseas. What about customs and duty?

I post worldwide, and the NZ$45 at checkout covers my end of it. What I can't cover is your end: some countries charge import duty, VAT, or a handling fee when the parcel arrives, and that's set by them rather than by me. It's payable by you, and I have no way to quote or refund it. If you'd like, email me before you book and I'll tell you what I know about posting to where you are.
